Tall Ships

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday. I know a lot of people were taking the whole week off in order to celebrate Independence Day.

I had a nice day myself, and got to watch the fireworks from my boyfriends air conditioned apartment. Even though I kept falling asleep during them (I blame the heat and being outside earlier that day), I think they were great. I also tried to watch the Boston Pops on TV but I feel asleep before I could get to watch the fireworks themselves.

So, yesterday, my mom and I went into Boston to see the Tall Ships (aka the old school military sailing ships) that had come to visit in honor of the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.

Two of them were still there (we missed Ol’ Ironsides aka the USS Constitution though). One was from Ecuador and the other from Indonesia.

They were saluting those who were getting on board.

And now, some knitting.

Part C of the Summer Solstice Mystery KAL 2012 came out on Tuesday and I finished the clue the same day. It’s starting to really look like something and I think it’s great. I can’t wait to see what the finished product looks like!

My Weasley sweater is slowing growing a second arm.

I have managed to loose the “Knupps and Crosses Scarf” that I was working on (I do need to find that).

The Honey Cowl I’m knitting from the Merino I spun is moving a long smoothly.

Finally, I managed to put a couple of rows on Maeva. Hopefully I’ll get that darn sock finished soon and I’ll have it off my plate. It’s starting to bug me how long those have been in the works.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
