Projects that is. I said I wouldn’t cast on ‘Color Affection’ until the weekend and I haven’t. I didn’t even start it today as I realized that I don’t have a 3rd size US6 circular needle around and I don’t particularly want to knit a large asymmetrical, crescent shawl on straights.
I’ll probably swatch on straight 6’s tomorrow and see how it comes out and then finish a project or just go buy another needle. Buying another one is the simpler option, but finishing a project is the cheaper option.
I put a few more rows on Scylla today between classes (having a few hours to keep helps with that):
Not many rows, in fact, I’m only about halfway through a second repeat of the foot patter, but I’m getting used to the pattern and how it works together so I’m hopefully it’ll be nice when it’s done.
On another note, have you ever used hair chopsticks? I’ve never been a huge fan of them (I have way too much hair for it to be controlled by a couple little sticks), but a large, thick ponytail does work well as a knitting needle holder when you need both hands.
For the most part, I enjoyed my first week of classes, but I can already tell that I’m going to have a LOT of homework to deal with.
Anyways, I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and I’ll see you on Monday.
