Video Post 1: Something New

I thought I’d give doing a video post a shot. Don’t worry, I’m still going to do regular text posts but I’m thinking a video every once in a while wouldn’t go amiss.

For those of you wondering for the sock, I’m using a US1 needle at 64 sts. I normally do 72 but this yarn is way to thick for that.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the video! Please let me know what you think.Β

  1. How fun! I felt like I could offer you a cup of tea, and you could sit at my table and knit with me awhile. You did a nice job on this video. Good luck with all of your yarn clean-up. If you have to keep storing it on the floor for awhile, could you use plastic bins with lids? And just be sure to keep the lid on when you’re not getting into the yarn yourself. My cat tore apart a shopping bag once to get into yarn I had bought, but that’s because it was a little kit to make sachets, which included potpourri. I can only assume the potpourri was made with catnip. After that, I made sure to put the yarn inside the closet and firmly close the door!

    1. Thank you! I’m glad you liked the video. I’m hoping to do more in the future.

As for the bins… I’ve heard it’s actually bad to store natural fibers in plastic, whether it’s in garment or yarn form so I’m trying to stay away from that. We’ve gone with shelving pretty high up on the wall and hoping that the cat doesn’t get any idea. The shelves are only temporary though, I want fabric bins to store them in on something like a bookshelf.

    1. I wouldn’t mind podcasting, but I want to keep up my written posts as well!

And Im planning to put up a new one tonight, so you’ll have one to watch. πŸ™‚
